Gliders/Classes

Depending on numbers there will be 3 classes consisting of Open, 15Metre/Std and Club Class, the scoring of all classes will be handicapped. This means that regardless of glider YOU can compete and have fun in this event. There are only two restrictions in that the configuration of all gliders must stay the same and conform to class rules for the entire event. In Club Class no water ballast will be permitted. All gliders competing must have a current LS1.

Turnpoints

Turnpoints are available at http://soaringweb.org/TP/Magalies/files.html

Handicaps

Handicaps used will be as at Hennenman. If your glider does not appear please inform me immediately so that we can have the numbers run for you before the comp.

Scoring

Scoring will be done using SeeYou Scoring as was done at the Nationals and the Free State Regionals. At Hennenman the longest it took to get the scores done was 45 minutes.

Loggers

Any logger that can produce a trace of your ground track will be accepted, but preferably one that also includes height. If it is an exotic logger please make sure that you bring your cables and software to allow downloading of the trace. If possible please submit your trace on a storage card as it makes the scoring even easier and faster.

Accommodation

At the Club there are two bunkhouses with around 26 beds and full ablution facilities and numerous bed and breakfast establishments in the area, if that is preferred. There is also an area for camping if the bunkhouse is full.

Catering

We are hoping to have Jean doing the munchies as she has over the past two competitions.

Get your entries in as soon as possible so that we can start preparing for the onslaught.
